How can I convince my parents on pole dancing?

-I'm a boy but not gay. I'm a dancer and sawa show where people pole dancing. I wanna try it cause it looks fun but how can I convince my parents to approve?And if your too arrogant to not be able to see that pole dancing is creative, an art, and a fun way to dance, then don't bother answering!I think its great that you want to start and you can prove to your friends that its damn hard, you need a lot of upper body strength giving boys an advantage. I would suggest you sit your parent down, i would advise one parent so if their reaction is bad then you just have one of them to deal with and also they won't influence each others reactions, so i would go for the parent you are closest too or the one who will be more understanding, before hand, plan what you're going to say and i would suggest getting some clips from youtube or somewhere to show them the type of dance you want to try then just explain to them all the health benefits of pole dancing and how you can help inspire people to break the stereotype and how its a great form of self expression. As a back up plan you could always get your friend to come talk to them and explain that pole dancing is an art, maybe even get her to show them some moves :) good luck hope i've helped.
