9th grader up on pointe, or wait?

-I am 14 years old, and I started getting interested getting back into ballet. When I started my research, I found the worst news possible, I can't go up on pointe without serious training. I get that now, because since then I have asked more and more questions, I am starting off with on class per week for the last seven weeks of summer. Then I will begin serious hard training in the fall. My goal is to be up on pointe ASAP!! Now I know I can want it but it probably won't happen, the summer before 6th grade I took a intensive course that had all kinds of dance ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap. I was only looking for the ballet part, which I was complimented on various time, but then not so much on the other dances. We saw some pointe shoes in the teachers closet and tried them on, not really knowing what we were doing, but seen how ballerina's put them on (my cousin was one). I was offered to work with the teacher the following year to get up on pointe, but didn't like the idea so quit. I am now picking back up ballet, and my studio hasn't answered my e-mails nor my phone calls, I wanted and have asked how long it takes for a girl like me with little experience to get up on pointe and they said sometime in the middle of high school, so I was looking at sophmore year or junior year. I don't like the idea of waiting because apparently I am not so patient which I get because my parents had me wait until karate was over, then school, then a month after school I finally sign up. I really wanted to be up on pointe within my 9th grade year, because I don't have many sports, but I was thinking if anyone can tell me if I work hard, with my teacher, and tell her my goal, that I could be on pointe by next summer or beginning of 10th grade, possibly in the middle. Just wondering?

ThanksI've been a ballet dancer since I was seven so I got up on pointe by the time I was in the sixth grade. However, it took a lot of ankle strenghthening so what I would do over the summer is look up certain exercises to strengthen your ankles and toes. I would suggest using Therabands! It is very dangerous to go up on pointe without being ready because you could get seriously hurt so I would focus more on gaining the necessary strength and I think your teacher will know when you're ready! :)
