-I am 19 and in college, and I need a new part time job and have always wanted to be an exotic dancer since I was like 15. I know the age for any sex related jobs is 18 and you can serve alcohol at 18, but do most clubs make you be 21 to work there? There are clubs in every state that let you work at 18. You do not, however, need to know any special dancing skill. Just smile, move slowly and make eye contact. You will learn some moves as you go but a lot of men like strippers who don't move like strippers. Just look like a sweet, clean, innocent college girl. It's a great angle that will make you a ton of money! It's a wonderful part time job if you can do it, but I will warn you it's not always pleasant. Very little of your time is spent on stage. Most of your job (90% of your time and money) depends on your ability to talk to older man and convince them that you like them and that if they spend money on you, you might go out with them. If you can make older, unattractive, boring, overweight men feel like hot, sexy young studs you will make great money. It depends, however you do need some dance training and technique in order to perform.
You don't just stand there, only sleezy clubs that pay their "dancers" next to nothing hire dancers with no technique.
You need training, and the amount of time it will take for you to train for dance would be 21 by then. You can also make a lot more being a formally trained dancer than an exotic dancer.
You must be motivated and driven as with any occupation.Take it seriously as you would a real job. Go in on time and make sure you behave professionally and in line with the rules of the club. You will also need to know the laws and be familiar with following local, state, or federal laws. Some clubs require a background check and fingerprints as well as id and social security number. Be prepared to provide these.
Oh honey, please don't do that. You are disgracing your self. You could get any other job. Have a little bit of self respect.
